Ammonium nitrate
Ammonium nitrate GOST (State Standard) 2-85
Ammonium nitrate - NH4NO3 is a granulated product of white colour with a yellowish tinge. This type of fertilizers has the highest use in agriculture among the rest, accounting for 55-60% of the fertilizers market in Ukraine. It is available with conditioning supplements containing calcium, magnesium, sulfate, or sulfate in sum with phosphate.
Application: applied for most crops in all types of soils, characterized by high digestibility of nitrogen.
The recommended average dosage: ammonium nitrate as a basic fertilizer should be applied in the amount of from 1.5 - 2.0 to 3.0 centner per 1 hectare, for dressing (additional fertilizing) - 1.0 - 1.5 centner per ha. The usage of ammonium nitrate for early spring additional fertilizing of winter grain wheat and rye is especially effective. Increase in yield by such use is 3 to 5 centners per 1 ha.
Advantages: ammonium nitrate of grade "B" is notable for its increased strength of granules, good friability, flow ability, stable granulometric composition, non-caking/ compressing during storage. It is allowed to use ammonium nitrate of grade "B" and for the industry.
Transportation: transported by all kinds of covered transport except air transportation.
Storage: stored in dry indoor warehouses to protect the product from moisture.
